This is one of my husband’s favorite dishes and also one of the easiest and least expensive to make! I saw it on Melissa D’Arabian’s Ten Dollar Dinner shows on the foodnetwork.

I am a big fan of cooking with fresh organic herbs and thyme is one of my favorites. It flavors the cream so nicely.

And you can never go wrong with a few pieces of crumbled bacon! I also love the gruyere cheese. So delish!

And if you don’t have one, I highly recommend using a┬ámandolin┬áto slice the potatoes. Easy peasy!
