I am so happy to be starting Project Life in the 12 z 12 format this year. Last year I tried 6 x 8 and after 3 months of it I was missing my 12 x 12. I have lots of cards from previous kits from Studio Calico, a few from Project Life and even some my friend Wendy sent me from some PL kits that she has. We traded some of our stash and it worked out great. So, sometimes I don’t know where the card came from. But when I do, I’ll make sure to list it in the supplies.
I used a Becky Higgins Design F photo pocket for the cover. Each year I like to include a few photos of us, a little bit about us and my One Little Word for the year. For this year I wanted to include where we live. We just bought our dream house 3 months ago, so it’s a big milestone for us. The Thoreau quote was a freebie from Becky Higgins site a few years ago. The other filler cards are from my stash.
For the first pocket I chose a 4 x 6 card from Maggie Holmes. Living with two males, i don’t get the opportunity for a lot of girly elements, so I wanted to put my feminine stamp on the album right away. The Hello letters are from Amy Tangerine. Then I added a few stickers to set the tone for the year and some enamel dots.
One Little Word is a series Ali Edwards created several years back. You basically choose a word, or in my case, my word always finds me. And you let that word guide you throughout the year. Somehow by actually saying it out loud and putting it into my scrapbook, it becomes more visible and I’m more conscious of it. My One Little Word for this year is FLOURISH. Last year I had GROW. The year before that was “FOCUS”. These words really help me guide me throughout the year. Last year I wanted to grow my business, my relationships and my faith. This year I not only want to grow, i want to flourish! Do you have one little word?
