I played along with Ali Edwards A Day in the Life project today. My approach will be to capture a day in the life every quarter as opposed to monthly. So here’s my first quarter! Wednesday, February 6.

day in the life p1

It started out like every other weekday by waking up at 7:00 am. I found the clock on the web and added a grid label from Cathy Zielske and a Real Life stamp from the Clementine collection.

I got Jared fed and backed, picked up Alex and took the boys to school. The “let’s go on an adventure” is from Studio Callico’s Front Row Stamp Collection.

After I got back from dropping off the boys my work day starts. I am so blessed to be able to work from home!

I took a pic of my work pc and framed it with one of Cathy Zielske’s page frames. I broke for my edamame lunch and Downton Abbey addiction and worked until the boys got home from school shortly after 3:00.

After work I start cooking! My husband asked me to make him some cornbread muffins. Have you had these from Hodgson Mill? easy peasy to make and simply delicious!

I wondered, what can i make to go with the cornbread? well chili of course! It was soooooo good with organic beans, guajillo chile and ancho chile. Here’s the recipe if you want to try it. It was a very big hit. For the photo i added one of Ali’s brushes from the So Totally Happy collection.

Jared ended up falling asleep on the couch. My husband and I watched American Idol before going to bed at 10:00 pm. I put Jared in bed with me since he wasn’t feeling well. ┬áThe journal label from Creative Bubble was a great way to capture the end of the day sentiment.
