My mom gave me this reindeer basket she made years ago. It’s one of my favorite items to put out at Christmas time.
December 2 was pretty simple. I have built up such an amazing stash of products over the years. Part of what I love about this time of year is watching Christmas movies. A Christmas Carol with Jim Carey is one of my favorites. Here’s a few closeups:
Most of these cards were in my stash. I just added some sequins and stars to jazz them up a bit. I especially love the red dot i put on the reindeer’s nose!
Whoo hooo!!!!! December 1 has finally arrived! I am so excited to be doing my December Daily again! This is my first year using a kit, but I always like to combine other items as well from other collections. Here’s a few close ups of Day 1.
I thought this mouse was so cute! It sets the tone for the album. I like to have a playful tone with some craft colored items and some reds and greens.
I began with a cream colored paper in my stash cut to 6X8 inches. The paper has some gradients and texture in it, which fits my hand made, kind of heritage colored style. I printed “25″ on a regular piece of paper and taped it to the back and cut it out with scissors to make the window. Then i outlined the window with Stickles. Then i added a few stickers to finish the cover.
Next i cut a white piece of cardstock down to 6×8 and put colorful items all over it. I bought a big container of sequins and just started gluing! I had some other embellishments from my stock and i simply filled the page up.
I love how it turned out! December Daily is one of my favorite projects of the year. There are so many other artists out there who provide some great inspiration! How’s your December Daily coming along?
We spent the afternoon at Roper Mountain Science Center and had a perfect day. They had so many wonderful exhibits to see! We saw a brand new butterfly, touched a snake, pet a sting ray, and got to participate in how life was in the 1800′s! It was wonderful!
I am very excited this year to be doing the December Daily project again!
The founder of this project, Ali Edwards, showed us a video of her process to creating her cover. I think what I love most about Ali is that she’s always saying your project can be as much or as little as you want. Although I love her work, it doesn’t reflect me. I like her cover page. It’s all her! Simple and clean.
Me? No way I could do an off white cover. I gotta have me some color! But not big bright colors or that typical kelly green and bright red. I like more muted greens and reds with some kraft browns and a hint of sparkle. Now that’s me! So I love my cover! It’s a reflection of my personality. I can’t wait to get started again on this project!
So what do your covers look like? I’d love to see them!
I especially enjoy looking over my stash from past seasons and incorporating new products too. This year I started with Studio Callico’s December Daily kit. I went to Michaels and picked up Fresh Foliage paint by Folk Art. The green isn’t as kelly green as it appears in the pic. It’s a little bit more subdued which I love. Some of the tags and that great velvet brown ribbon were from my stash. The gold stars are from Michaels too.

It seems like I’m forever playing catch up with my Project Life, and actually I’m ok with that. At least I bounce around between two months. That’s not too bad! I wanted to use a page to capture our drive from NJ to SC for our big move. I love how it turned out!
I am so excited by December Daily kit arrived today from Studio Calico! While this is my 4th year doing the project, it is my first year where I’ve bought a kit. I am looking forward to using this amazing set of products along with my stash that I’ve built over the last few years. Are you doing December Daily this year? I’d love to see your work! You can view my previous December Daily albums too!
My process for my Project Life is not exact as far as scrapping week by week. I prepare my pages by month, but even then sometimes have some holes to fill in later. This page is exactly that. It’s October, but i had some other photos and stories I wanted to include for August, so I went back and created this page.
We were crazy busy packing and getting ready for our move to SC, so my PL fell a little behind. Here’s a few closeups:
I love this project. I never ever get bored with it. I have found my nitch!
I try to keep tidbits of Jared’s drawings and school work so we can look back on it as well as looking back at our photos. Today’s example has no photos at all and it works for me! Here’s a few closeups:
